General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), on Friday said that the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and other government departments will continue their enforcement actions against illegal activities with full force to prevent resource theft and the resulting economic losses for the nation.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief made these remarks while in Karachi, where he was present at a meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee with interim Sindh Chief Minister, Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar.
The COAS received an update on the Revised National Action Plan, the Operation in the Kacha Area of Sindh, the Security of Foreign Nationals Working on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Non-CPEC and Private Projects, the Repatriation of Illegal Foreigners, Foreign Currency Regularization Measures, the Karachi Transformation Plan, the Status of SIFC Initiatives in Sindh, and Green Sindh Initiatives during the Apex Committee meeting.
The Army Chief emphasized the necessity of collaboration across all pertinent agencies for the successful outcomes of the historic efforts.
The participants reaffirmed that the people, government agencies, and state institutions are working together for the advancement and prosperity of the province.
Earlier, Commander Karachi Corps welcomed the COAS upon his arrival.
