The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has formed multiple raid teams to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Falak Javed, intensifying the crackdown on her alleged involvement in cyber-related offences.
Five FIA raid teams have been established, with instructions to report twice daily to the Deputy Director of FIA.
The teams have been directed to search Ms Javed’s residence, while the record of her stay at KPK House from July 13 to October 16 is also being scrutinized. Forensic auditing of KPK House has been initiated by the Assistant Director.
Additionally, the FIA is considering blocking Falak Javed’s national identity card and adding her name to the Passport Control List, restricting her travel. Authorities are also in contact with Interpol to ensure her arrest if she attempts to flee abroad.
The investigation also extends to her family members, whose mobile phones will be examined for any potential evidence. The Assistant Director is scheduled to submit an initial report to senior officers by 4:30 p.m. today.
Based on these findings, a comprehensive report will be presented to the Lahore High Court. All suspects in the ongoing case (No. 110) will be pursued for arrest.
Sources suggest that the FIA is determined to leave no stone unturned in apprehending Falak Javed, as part of the wider investigation into cybercrime activities linked to political figures.
