Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) was conducted on Sunday (today) across the country under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) supervision.
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) asked law enforcement departments to ensure tight security measures to ensure a smooth and secure testing process.
A total of 26 examination centers have been established in 12 cities across Punjab to accommodate the 58,380 candidates set to take the exam. Among them, 40,364 are female candidates, while 18,016 are male.
In Lahore, eight examination centers have been designated, with six reserved for female candidates and two for male candidates. The largest examination center has been established at the Punjab University’s examination halls, UHS officials confirmed.
To manage the smooth functioning of the test, over 4,000 teachers have been assigned supervisory duties across all centers, with 1,000 of them stationed in Lahore.
Health department officials will be monitoring the arrangements at the centers, and the Deputy Commissioners of 12 districts have developed detailed plans to oversee the event.
