Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim Legaue-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that party supremo Nawaz Sharif is not coming to take revenge but to restart the country’s journey of development from where it was stopped.
Addressing workers convention in Lahore, he made an appeal to the public, urging them to extend a warm and historic welcome to Nawaz Sharif.
Shehbaz emphasized that his party remembers all those who did wrong to them, and the nation has not forgotten any of them. He underlined that the nation is well aware of these individuals, but Nawaz Sharif’s return is not driven by a desire for revenge; instead, it is focused on serving the people and addressing the nation’s wounds.
The PML-N president went on to say that the elder Sharif will rest his case before Almighty Allah after returning to Pakistan, adding that the country’s journey of development will start from where it was stopped.
The younger Sharif further asserted that his party saved the country by sacrificing politics, adding that If Pakistan had plunged into bankruptcy, it would have affected access to essential resources like medicine and commerce.
“Nawaz Sharif’s return on October 21 is driven by a commitment to serve the people and the nation’s well-being,” he added.
Earlier, the former premier asserted that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s ouster halted the country’s growth, and underscored the importance of the country’s youth. ‘’The youth have always expressed their confidence in the PML-N.’’
He lavished praise on Nawaz Sharif, saying, ‘’Nawaz Sharif has always served the masses with great enthusiasm. Nawaz Sharif has taken the country out of the darkness by addressing the problems in line with the power outage and unemployment.’’
‘’Between 2013 and 2017, the country was not witnessing the power outage due to the able leadership of Nawaz Sharif. Even there was no concept of inflation during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif,’’ Shehbaz added.
