Punjab Chief Minster Maryam Nawaz said on Tuesday that the trend of turning the political opposition into enmity had harmed the country.
According to details, the provincial minister, parliamentary and administrative secretaries had called on CM Maryam. On this occasion, CM Maryam took a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), without naming the party. "For four years, the country was ruled by inept people who harmed the 40-year development in the last four years."
"Things would have been different if we found the Punjab developed by Shehbaz. All the hard work and efforts made during the tenure of Shehbaz Sharif as the Punjab chief minister were harmed in a few years," she said.
"Now, we [the Punjab government] are putting in all-out efforts but cannot make tall claims about the exemplary development in just six months," she said.
She said: "The schemes are not just on paper, but the working has been done on the schemes practically."
"I am the representative of the masses, and for the sake of their uplift, I had never taken off from my duty," she said.

Expressing her thoughts, CM Maryam said: "The prices of flour, roti, and vegetables have witnessed a reduction in Punjab. The inflation has dropped to a single digit."
She recalled the tenure of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, saying, "Even before during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif, the inflation was stable to the single digit. Now, when the inflation dropped to a single digit, it once happened during the government of Nawaz Sharif."
