Nasreen Abdullah has been appointed as the chief officer (CO) of education in Jhang in a landmark decision aimed at enhancing the quality of education and addressing the concerns of female teachers.
This appointment marks the first time in 24 years that a woman has held this pivotal position in the district’s education department.
Nasreen Abdullah officially took charge of her new role on Monday, with a clear commitment to improving educational standards across schools in Jhang. Her appointment is seen as a significant step forward, particularly in addressing the long-standing issues faced by female teachers in the district.
"The quality of education in our schools will be further improved, and I am committed to resolving the complaints and problems faced by our women teachers promptly," said Abdullah in her first address after assuming office.
