Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesperson said 34 places in Mianwali, Leh, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur flooded.
PDMA said 24 boats and 78 rescue workers are engaged in rescue activities while 36 Relief Camps have been set up in flood-affected areas.
“930 people were shifted to safe places in time,” the DG of PDM said.
“1572 people were provided treatment facilities in 33 medical campuses in the affected areas,” Director General Irfan Kathia said.
He said 757 cattle have been shifted from flooded areas to safe places, 42714 animals have been vaccinated and due to the timely response of the PDMA and the administration, there was no loss of life or property.
A total of 785 houses and an area of 49, 212 acres were affected by flood water.
“There is a possibility that the flood will continue in the Indus River for the next few days,” he added.
