Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Thursday, reflecting the upward trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,400, bringing the new rate to Rs254,900.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold saw an increase of Rs1,201, reaching Rs218,536. This increment follows a previous rise on Wednesday, where the gold price per tola increased by Rs1,200.
The international gold market also experienced gains on Thursday, with the price per ounce climbing by $17 to $2,432, including a $20 premium, as reported by the APGJSA.
Conversely, silver rates in the local market remained stable at Rs2,900 per tola, showing no change.
Earlier this month, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs4,600 to Rs254,000.
This record-setting trend underscores the volatility and significant shifts in the precious metals market, influenced by both domestic and global economic factors.
