The government's efforts to revive the national economy and address the electricity crisis are showing positive results. A nationwide crackdown on electricity theft has led to the recovery of over 103 billion rupees and the arrest of more than 83,000 individuals involved in power theft.
From July 14 to July 21, relevant authorities collected over 230 million rupees from electricity thieves in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad. Additionally, 15 million rupees were recovered from Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.
The concerned agencies are committed to continuing their operations until the complete eradication of electricity theft across the country.
These measures are part of a broader initiative by the government and military leadership to stabilize the national economy and resolve the ongoing electricity crisis.
