Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja on Thursday questioned if the country would run on basis of kidnapping, terrorism cases.
Speaking to media, Raja said, "We stand for our rights; we will leave after claiming this right."
"The court is being mocked. We will file more contempt of court petitions tomorrow."
"Court orders are being ignored, and it should be stopped. The people should raise their voices against this oppression and fascism," he added.
Raja explained, "This matter is not only about the founder but also about the survival of the law."
"We strongly condemn what happened today. We are being challenged, and we will not remain silent," Raja said.
Taking a jibe at the incumbent government, Raja said, "They cannot break us in any way."
"The people will be with us, and we will continue our struggle. The country needs stability; do not lead it towards chaos," he continued.
"To what extent will the PTI founder's voice be silenced? The people have decided," he stated.
Raja claimed, "He was kept in detention for seven hours without any reason. This is state terrorism, and leaflets are being drawn against him."
"Many of them will be humiliated for a month. What was the crime that a case was registered against them?" Raja questioned.
"Will the country run on the basis of kidnapping and terrorism charges?" he asked.
"Arrest is a trivial matter for us, and we are ready," Raja added.
"We will end oppression and fascism, even if it costs us," he declared.
Raja concluded, "The rulers should come to their senses. We do not want a riot; the state wants a riot. We do not want to go to jail with the permission of a colonel; we have the right."
