The Met Department has forecast a further increase in temperatures across the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, coupled with a chance of rain from July 6 to 8.
Meanwhile, concerns over potential flash floods, landslides, and river floods in Chitral, Kohistan, Upper Dir, and Swat due to glacier melting have prompted the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to issue precautionary measures.
The authority has directed district administrations and relevant institutions to alert local communities in sensitive areas. Emergency, rescue services and Community Emergency Response Teams have been put on standby, with the availability of their personnel to be ensured and equipment ready for immediate deployment in case of emergencies.
"Tourists in sensitive areas should be warned about weather conditions in advance," the PDMA said, and advised tourists planning visits to these areas to stay updated on weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel.
