Monsoon season is officially set to commence in Balochistan in July, with forecasts predicting heavier than usual rainfall, raising concerns for potential damage in several districts.
The Met Department has issued a warning indicating the likelihood of heavy monsoon rains this year across Balochistan. Regions particularly at risk include Lasbela district, Naseerabad, and Makran division, where the impact of intensified rainfall could lead to significant damage.
In anticipation of the monsoon's impact, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has taken proactive measures. Relief materials for 800 families have been allocated and handed over to district administrations to facilitate swift response in case of emergencies.

Authorities, including the Metropolitan Corporation of Quetta, have been instructed to remain vigilant and prepared to handle any potential flood-related incidents.

Local communities are urged to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to safeguard lives and property during the monsoon season. Residents in vulnerable areas are advised to prepare emergency kits and follow safety protocols issued by local authorities.
