Pakistan Coast Guards have intercepted a passenger coach traveling from Quetta to Karachi, uncovering a substantial quantity of contraband.
Acting on intelligence reports, officers discovered 5,490 kg of betel nuts, 533 packets of pan masala, and 591 sticks of foreign cigarettes during a routine check at Winder on the Quetta-Karachi highway.
Additionally, 12 individuals attempting to illegally cross into Iran were detained at the Panwan check post near Gwadar, Balochistan. These individuals, found without legal documents, were apprehended from various passenger coaches.
Following preliminary investigations, all detainees were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further inquiry and legal proceedings.
