Pakistan has called for the arrest and extradition of those responsible for the Bisham attack, presenting concrete evidence to Afghan authorities.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch confirmed that detailed information about the perpetrators has been shared with Afghanistan.
During her weekly press briefing, she emphasized that Pakistan is seeking the extradition of the terrorists involved in the attack. She stated, “We have provided the Afghan authorities with solid evidence regarding the individuals behind the Bisham attack and have demanded their immediate arrest and extradition.”
Addressing comments made by foreign diplomats on Pakistan’s internal matters, Ms Baloch highlighted the importance of diplomatic etiquette. “The Supreme Court is the highest constitutional institution in Pakistan. Foreign diplomats should exercise caution and avoid commenting on our internal affairs,” she said.
The spokesperson also touched upon Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup, mentioning ongoing discussions with the American administration regarding the security of Pakistani players and citizens. “We are in contact with the American administration to ensure full security for our team and fans during the ICC Cricket World Cup,” she added.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit China from June 4 to 8. The visit comes at the invitation of the Chinese leadership, and the Prime Minister is expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. “The Prime Minister’s visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss important matters with the Chinese counterpart,” Baloch explained.
When asked about the Supreme Court’s letter to the British High Commission, the FO spokesperson refrained from giving an opinion. She reiterated the Supreme Court’s position as the highest constitutional body in the country and urged foreign diplomats to respect Pakistan's sovereignty and refrain from interfering in domestic issues.
