The extreme weather has gripped Lahore and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
According to the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD), the temperature in the city will be recorded at 44 degrees Celsius in the ongoing week. There is no chance of rain in the Punjab provincial capital in the next 24 hours.
The wind was blowing at a speed of 5 kilometres per hour, and the moisture in the air was 45 percent.
Meanwhile, the temperature of the city was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, which is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius.
On the other side, the met weather had warned against the hot weather in the plain areas of Punjab and Sindh. The met office director, while speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, said that the plain areas of both provinces [Punjab and Sindh] will witness scorching heat.
"The citizens who take measures will go outside of their houses," he added.
The meeting office director maintained, "However, the hot weather will be suitable for the cotton and mango crops.
