Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced on Saturday to reinstate its much-anticipated flight operations connecting Dubai and Skardu, with services set to recommence from April 29, 2024.
Initially inaugurated on August 14 last year, the Dubai-Skardu route garnered significant attention for its potential to facilitate tourism and bolster regional connectivity.
However, the onset of winter brought about the suspension of flights, as the formidable weather conditions in Skardu posed challenges to safe air travel.
Undeterred by the temporary setback, PIA has reaffirmed its commitment to serving passengers and promoting tourism in the region by announcing the resumption of flight operations.
This move is poised to invigorate the tourism industry in Skardu, renowned for its majestic mountains, pristine lakes, and unparalleled natural beauty.
