In a remarkable feat of determination and courage, Pakistan's Ahmed Uzair and Anum Uzair have etched their names in history by becoming the first husband-wife duo from their nation to successfully conquer the towering Mount Manaslu in Nepal.
This awe-inspiring achievement was confirmed by the renowned Nepalese adventure operator, Seven Summit Treks, on a momentous Sunday.
Mount Manaslu, standing tall at 8,163 meters, claims the title of being the eighth-highest mountain in the world and is nestled in the west-central region of Nepal.
Just earlier this month, a trio of Pakistani mountaineers, Naila Kiani, Sirbaz Khan, and Shehroze Kashif, had also triumphantly reached the summit of this formidable peak.
Ahmed and Anum Uzair, not only passionate mountaineers but also dedicated parents of two children, realised their dream of conquering Mount Manaslu on a day that will forever be etched in their memories.
Seven Summit Treks proudly announced their historic achievement on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Congratulations to Ahmed and Anum Uzair who successfully climbed the eighth highest peak, Mt. Manaslu (8163m), this morning," the company proclaimed with jubilation. "They are the first Pakistani couple to achieve this feat, ascending an 8,000-meter peak."
