Currency dealers observed a decline in the value of the dollar in the interbank market as trading commenced on the last day of the business week.
At the opening of business, the dollar depreciated by 19 paisas in the interbank market, bringing its value to Rs278.25.
This movement contrasts with the previous day's report issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, which indicated a slight appreciation in the dollar's value. According to the State Bank's report, the dollar closed at Rs278.44 at the end of the previous business day on Thursday, marking an increase of four paisas. However, the open market witnessed a different trend, with the dollar experiencing a rise of nine paisas.
