The Punjab advocate general has told the Lahore High Court that the government has allocated seven cells for PTI Founder Imran Khan, while 14 security personnel have been appointed for his security.
He further said that the food for the former prime minister is also prepared in a special kitchen where no other food is cooked.
Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan was hearing the request of the PTI founder regarding his security in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail.
During the hearing, the Punjab advocate general appeared and submitted a report to the court in which it was said that Imran Khan had been kept in a cell with six surrounding cells also reserved for him.
There is one security officer reserved for 10 people in Adiala Jail, but 14 officers have been appointed for Imran Khan and CCTV cameras have been installed at a cost of Rs500,000. The food for the PTI founder is also prepared in a special kitchen.
Asad Manzoor Butt, the lawyer of the petitioner, took the stand that they were not allowed to meet their client, on which the court remarked that this is an important matter and everyone cannot be allowed to meet him.
The court adjourned the petition related to the PTI founder's security till after Eid.
