Sunni Ittehdad Council (SIC) leader Junaid Akbar said on Friday that 65 per cent of the population is composed of youth, which stands with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.
Expressing his thoughts in NA session, Akbar said: “I have never been to DI Khan. But still, the FIR was registered against me.”
He questioned: “Is this country a property of somebody? Whether there exists the supremacy of law here or not?”
“We will not take rest unless our leader and the rest of the leadership come out of jail,” he added.
Akbar said: “Most of the people sitting in parliament had been defeated in the recently held elections”.
“The future of the country is pretty much linked with the PTI founder. As we had sent the reference, the decision came against us, he added.
– SIC looks to put next govt to test –
Few days back, SIC Chairman Hamid Raza said that his party will put the next government to the test.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Raza said: “The misunderstanding was created from the letter penned to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).”
“Our letter has nothing to do with the reserved seats,” Raza added.
