Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham revealed that her husband David Beckham dated in parking lots to keep their relationship out of the public eye on the manager’s advice.
A teaser trailer was released for the upcoming Netflix four-part docuseries Beckham, focusing on David’s life journey from childhood to becoming a successful athletic career. “Beckham” begins streaming on Netflix on Oct. 4.
Victoria, David Beckham's first meeting
The docuseries sheds light on his and Victoria’s longtime romance—which began in 1997 after the two met at one of David’s Manchester United soccer games.
David recalled in a February 2020 interview on “The Tonight Show,” We talked for about an hour in the players’ lounge, and she actually got the train out that day. So, she wrote her number down on her train ticket, which I still have.”
“While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage – you are the famous one.) And he has such a cute smile,” Victoria wrote in a British Vogue article.
“You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you. He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.)”
The couple went on to welcome four children: sons Brooklyn, Cruz, Romeo, and daughter Harper (not pictured).
