Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Thursday stressed the need for upholding democracy in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Siddiqui said: “The democracy cannot be strengthened unless the participation of the masses in the process is ensured.”
He underscored the importance of the supremacy of the constitution, saying, “Everybody needs to follow the country’s constitution.”
“We would not let the leader derail the democracy for the election of the speaker and deputy speaker tomorrow,” he added.

Few days back, Siddiqui stressed the need for uplifting the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Siddiqui said: “It is enough for us to remain along with the masses instead of preferring the presidency or ministries.”
“We have talked about the three constitutional amendments. Sitting in the opposition is the biggest political space,” Siddiqui said.
He asserted: “We have many options.
