Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) taken on Saturday stern action against one of its prominent members, Sher Afzal Marwat, following his recent remarks which have stirred controversy within the party ranks.
In a show of disciplinary measure, PTI has issued a show-cause notice to Marwat, citing his statement as the catalyst for a tense situation within the party.
Marwat's comments, made just a day ago, pointed fingers at the competence of Barrister Ali Zafar, insinuating that his nomination was a consequence of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan's alleged shortcomings and the mishandling of post-election affairs by PTI leadership.
Marwat's assertion that Barrister Gohar should have been at the forefront post-election, coupled with his critique of Gohar's performance, has raised eyebrows within PTI circles.
Expressing his support for Barrister Ali Zafar's candidacy for the post of PTI Chairman in the upcoming intra-party elections, Marwat did not mince words in expressing his dissatisfaction with Barrister Gohar's alleged lackluster performance.
In response to these controversial remarks, PTI has demanded Marwat to submit a formal apology within a strict two-day deadline. The party leadership has Stressed the importance of maintaining unity and discipline within its ranks, especially in the lead-up to crucial intra-party elections.
