Pakistan’s new charge d’affaires in India Saad Ahmed Waraich has reached the Indian capital Delhi to assuume his diplomatic responsibilities, to replace former charge d’affaires Aizaz Khan.
Waraich was working as DG Afghanistan, Turkey and Iran in the Foreign Office. It is pertinent to notethat Asad Gilani has now been assigned the new responsibility of DG Afghanistan.
He did MA in Economics (1986 - 1988) from Government College University, Lahore. and MBA from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
In 2018, speaking at UN General Assembly in New York, Pakistani envoy Saad Ahmed Warraich said that Kashmir had never been and would never be part of India. He said Kashmir is a disputed territory and its future is yet to be decided in accordance with UN resolutions.
The envoy said India has been committing inhuman atrocities against unarmed Kashmiris and the UN Human Rights Commissioner has also issued a report on rights abuses by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
