Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government welcomed on Sunday a 68-member Belarusian high-level delegation with great verve.
According to details, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and other officials had welcomed the Belarusian high-level delegation with verve at the airport. The Belarusian delegation comprised of the 43 businesspersons.”
On this occasion, additional secretary of foreign affairs Shafaqat Ali Khan and Pakistani ambassador in Belarus Sajjad Haider were also present.
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will touchdown in Pakistan tomorrow and will stay in the country till November 27.
PM Shehbaz and the Belarusian president will hold discussions in detail.
Both the leaders will exchange views on bolstering the bilateral ties and cooperation in different sectors.
During the Belarusian delegation visit, multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be inked between the two countries.
On the other side, the Belarusian foreign minister and power minister called on Mohsin Naqvi.
On this occasion, Naqvi said, “We welcome the Belarusian delegation to Islamabad. The Pakistani government and masses are waiting for the Belarusian president’s arrival tomorrow.”
“Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s visit to Pakistan is vital for bolstering the bilateral ties between the two countries,” he said.
“We highly value the ties between Pakistan and Belarus,” he stated.
Naqvi maintained, “Pakistan is looking to extend cooperation with Belarus in different sectors.”
The interior minister hoped that the visit will pave the way for extending the cooperation between both countries in trade, industry, and other sectors.
Prominent among those who were represented in the Belarusian delegation on the occasion were the power minister, trade minister, law minister, industrial minister, communication minister, and other officials.
