Quetta Gladiator pacer Mohammad Amir heaped praise on Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam and teammate Saim Ayub after match.
Speaking to reporters in Lahore, Amir acknowledged the importance of the current PSL season for the Quetta Gladiators and expressed his gratitude for the fans' support.
"This PSL is very important for me," Amir said. "I need to meet the expectations of the Quetta Gladiators and I'm grateful for the love from the fans."
He then turned his attention to Babar Azam, who has been in scintillating form this season. "Babar Azam is a fantastic batsman," Amir said. "He played a great innings, and it's an honor for any player to be praised by Sir Vivian Richards."
Amir also acknowledged the challenges faced by bowlers in T20 cricket. "Chasing 200 runs wasn't easy," he admitted. "The wicket was very good, and some days you just get hit."
Despite the challenges, Amir remained optimistic about his team's chances. "T20 is a batsman's game," he said, "but we have some of the best bowlers in the league. And Saim Ayub is a dangerous player – watch out for him!"
