A renowned human rights activist revealed in Karachi that Seema Haider’s first husband has hired an Indian lawyer to help him get his underage children back.
Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman, had illegally crossed over to India last year with her four children to live with a person she was alleged to have an affair wirh. Seema, a native resident of Sindh's Jacobabad, left her house and went to Karachi in May 2023 with her kids and travelled to India through Nepal.
She grabbed headlines in July 2023, when she was discovered by the Indian state police hiding in the Greater Noida of Uttar Pradesh with Indian national Sachin Meena, who is allegedly her husband. According to the latest reports she is expecting a baby with Sachin.
Leading Pakistani advocate and human rights activist Ansar Barni stated that Seema Haider's husband Ghulam Haider reached him asking to take back custody of his four children.
“This is not an open and shut case because even if she is settled there now, her children are Pakistani nationals and underage, the father has every right to them,” Burney stated Ghulam wanted nothing to do with his wife but only wanted his children back in Pakistan.
Sachin and Seema's legal representative in India Attorney A.P Singh said "We are not aware of any such development. When we get to know of it officially, we will respond to it accordingly."
Seema and Sachin were taken into custody last year on July 4. They were given bail on July 7 from a local municipal court.
After the local Noida arrested Seema and Sachin a couple of weeks ago, their case is now been investigated by the Uttar Pradesh police Anti-Terrorist Squad. the department doing seprate investigation with both of them.
