The Pakpattan police conducted a crackdown on the instructions of Pakpattan district police chief Tariq Wilayat, and arrested 80 people for carrying illegal weapons.
According to a spokesman, the police registered 80 cases after arresting as many individuals for carrying weapons without licenses during a crackdown on outlaws. The Pakpattan police also recovered 68 pistols, five rifles, seven guns and 228 bullets from the possession of the outlaws, he said.
DPO Wilayat said strict action was being taken against those who possessed illegal weapons. The citizens should report the lawless elements to the police immediately so that these criminals can be eliminated from society, he added.
