U.S claims Russia developing new troubling anti-satellite weapons, the weapon is space-based with nuclear capability to strike satellites.
John Kirby a senior spokesperson of the White House made comments after a member of the House of Representatives issued a warning regarding this serious national security threat.
However, John Kirby did not give any further details on this threat and he also has not confirmed it yet.
John Kirby who was appointed as President Joe Biden's senior assistant revealed that there is no immediate threat to the US citizens.
He said "We're not talking about a weapon that can be used to attack human beings. Or cause physical destruction, here on Earth,”
According to Mr. Kirby, President Biden was informed of the intelligence and his government was treating the weapon's development "very seriously". He further stated that the president has issued an order for "direct diplomatic engagement with Russia" in response to the threat.
Russia accused the United States of using claims regarding the new anti-satellite weapons to pressure the US Congress to pass further aid for Ukraine "by hook or by crook."

On Wednesday, House Intelligence Committee chairman Mike Turner sent out a cryptic warning about a major threat regarding national security which set off an uprising of rumors in the national capital.
Mr Turner and other committee members met with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Thursday to continue their discussion on this matter.
"We all came away with a very strong impression that the administration is taking this very seriously and that the administration has a plan in place," Mr. Turner said following the meeting. "We look forward to supporting them as they go to implement it."
Though space weaponry looks like something out from science fiction movies and novels like spider man 2 and GoldenEye military analysts have long continued that in the world where technology is becoming more and more prevalent, space will become the forefront of future conflicts.
