Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is ready to steal the spotlight in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam shared glimpses of his training session. “It’s PSL time,” he said.
Azam will not only look to spearhead his team with vigour but also eying on to rack up 3,000 runs in the PSL to become the first batter to do so in the domestic premium tournament.

He only needs 65 runs to achieve this milestone.

Peshawar Zalmi Director Mohammad Akram said on Wednesday that his team wanted to see Babar Azam play as an opener in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking to media, Akram said: "Babar Azam is the captain of the team. It is up to Babar to play in whatever batting position he wants to play."
He pointed out the team's combination, saying, “Like every year, we have tried to form a good combination."
