Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka faces an extended period on the sidelines due to injury, adding to manager Erik ten Hag's concerns as the team's season faces challenges.
Despite a promising start under the Dutch manager, Manchester United has been dealing with off-field problems compounded by disappointing on-field performances, including a recent 3-1 loss to Brighton.
This season has seen Manchester United cope with a growing list of injured players, including Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, and Raphael Varane.
Manager Erik ten Hag rejected the idea that Manchester United is in crisis but will now have to strategize without the services of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to a club statement on Monday, "Aaron Wan-Bissaka is facing an extended period on the sidelines following an injury sustained during the latter stages of Saturday's match against Brighton and Hove Albion."
Wan-Bissaka, who was substituted in as an 85th-minute replacement, had been on the bench due to illness earlier in the week.
The statement continues, "Further assessment will be required to determine the exact duration of Wan-Bissaka's absence, but initial indications suggest it will be a matter of several weeks."
