Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Gohar Khan has urged citizens to exercise their right to vote—in maximum numbers—for their “freedom”.
Gohar Khan, who assumed the chairmanship of PTI after Imran Khan was removed by ECP, said that this was the day the citizens were waiting for, and it would prove to be a “critical point for Pakistan’s democratic history”.
PTI chairman cast his vote in NA-10 Buner. He added that the voting process so far had been going well.
Gohar Khan answering a question about the credibility of elections, said that parties should refrain from questioning the elections for now.
Barrister Gohar urged female voters to get out and vote
He claimed that people's enthusiasm is with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“It took PTI two years to wait for this day. We have reached Elections Day despite the odds. Today is Pakistan's Independence Day,” Barrister Gohar Khan said.
“We should refrain from putting question marks on the elections,” Barrister Gohar added that, elections are already riddled with ‘controversies’.
“Let the people exercise their right to vote freely as this is the issue of survival and security of Pakistan. People should come out in large numbers and vote,” Barrister Gohar said.
