Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed reservations about joining forces with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the aftermath of the upcoming February 8 elections.
Bhutto in an interview with a foreign media outlet made it clear that if Nawaz Sharif were to become the Prime Minister once again, he would not accept the role of Foreign Minister, citing a desire to distance himself from what he referred to as "old politics."

Bhutto emphasized the need for a departure from traditional political practices, stating, "If they break this old tradition and want to establish a tradition that benefits democracy, then I can stand with them." The PPP chairman urged for a change in the political landscape, advocating for an environment conducive to democratic growth.
Expressing his concerns about the current state of politics in the country, Bhutto remarked that both major political parties, apart from the PPP, are actively engaged in the "politics of hatred and division." He asserted that the PPP is not willing to align itself with this divisive approach.
Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the challenging choices ahead, suggesting that it appears one might have to choose between the "devil and the deep blue sea."
Despite the uncertainties, he expressed hope that the PPP would emerge victorious in forming the government.
