Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has said the future of millions of people in the country was linked to the Feb 8 elections and termed a recent report by Transparency International that corruption went down in PMLN-led PDM government.
At a press conference in Lahore, he lamented that corruption allegations were hurled at the PML-N and Nawaz Sharif in 2013. “But, god willing, no one could prove these accusations.”
In his statement, he said during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif in 2013 there was a huge amount of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Pakistan.
During his news conference, Shabaz Sharif said that Pakistan is always prosperous during the government of Nawaz Sharif, adding that, PMLN’s projects were for the well-being of the general public.

He further said that motorways are the best pathways of travelling nowadays and in Pakistan, almost every single person has been taking benefit from the world-class infrastructure. He accused Imran Khan of election rigging and also said that corruption was the part of the previous govt.
Talking about his government performance he said that during PDM government time the corruption graph dropped. He quoted the Transparency International (TI) report regarding the corruption index of Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan is in a better position to mitigate corruption during PMLN governments.
