Jahangir Tareen, leader of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), pledged cooperation with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to “change the destiny of the people” during a passionate rally in Multan on Friday.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, he emphasized the pivotal role of PML-N and IPP in shaping the destiny of the nation, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts to serve the people effectively.
Reflecting on his political journey, Tareen shared his humble beginnings, noting that his foray into politics was somewhat accidental. He recounted how his brother-in-law, Ahmed Mehmood, encouraged him to contest elections from Rahim Yar Khan, where he discovered the nuances of political dynamics.
Grateful for the support he received, Tareen highlighted his victory in Lodhran by a substantial margin of 40,000 votes, attributing it to the kindness and trust of the people.
Expressing his commitment to Multan, Tareen pledged unwavering dedication if elected, promising never to forsake the city that holds his ancestral roots.
Asserting his track record of service in Lodhran, Tareen vowed to amplify his efforts, aiming to undertake 500 developmental projects if entrusted with the mandate by the people of Multan.
He reiterated his promise to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of his constituency, pledging to commence work immediately upon securing victory in the upcoming elections.
