With the general elections just around the corner, the foreign visits of caretaker federal ministers and government officers have been cancelled.
Sources said that Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has approved the cancellation of foreign visits by his cabinet members as well as government officers.
The authorization letters of ministers, officers, and officials of autonomous bodies have been revoked, the sources added.
“No one will visit abroad until the elections and the formation of a new government,” the sources claimed.
Moreover, they said that cabinet members, government officers, and senior officials cannot even undertake private foreign visits.
An order has been issued to cancel the authorized permits of ministers and federal secretaries as well.
