Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed's health on Thursday took a severe downturn while in Adiala Jail.
Authorities promptly transferred him to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology for immediate medical attention.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who was arrested by the police on January 16, had been released on bail in connection to the May 9 cases. However, his health has now become a cause for concern, leading to his swift transfer to the medical facility.
Upon arrival at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, a comprehensive medical examination is set to be conducted to assess the extent of Mr Rashid health issues.
