Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Zaka Ashraf as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman.
Earlier on Friday, Ashraf resigned as the PCB management committee chairman. Ashraf had also decided to step down as the member of BoG.
Sources divulged that Ashraf had tendered his resignation from the post for not getting authority from the IPC.
The IPC had stopped the meeting of the management committee in Karachi on Tuesday. Ashraf had been asked not to take the decisions.
Ashraf wanted to take the decisions in line with the BoG and the elections.
The IPC had stopped Ashraf from holding the T-10 league.
Ashraf had tendered his resignation to the caretaker prime minister. If the premier will accept Ashraf’s resignation, then elections will have to be held by constituting the new BoG.
