– No necessity for intra-party elections after PHC's verdict, says Rana Sanaullah –
PML-N senior leader Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that there is now no necessity for intra-party elections within political parties following the Peshawar High Court's verdict.
Expressing his thoughts, the former interior minister said: "After the Peshawar High Court (PHC) ruling, the Election Act 2017 has essentially reached its conclusion."
He insisted on extending the provision of refraining all political parties from conducting intra-party elections.
Highlighting the decision as a "setback" for the legal system and a triumph for those who defy the law, Rana Sanaullah stressed the negative implications.
Sanaullah recalled the events that transpired on May 9, characterising the PHC's verdict as a "morale boost" for the rioters.
