The Election Tribunal of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday allowed Dr Yasmin Rashid to contest the elections from NA-130, accepting the appeal of Dr Yasmin Rashid.
The tribunal set aside the decision of the rating officer’s verdict who rejected the nomination papers of the PTI leader who is in jail.

It is pertinent to note that Wednesday is the last day to dispose of appeals filed against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers for the general elections by Appellate Tribunals.
These tribunals are being headed by judges of the High Courts.
According to election schedule, the preliminary list of candidates will be displayed tomorrow and candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till Friday.
The revised list of candidates will also be published on Friday.
The electoral symbols will be allotted on Saturday while polling for general elections will be held on 8th of next month.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided against any seat adjustment with any political party in Lahore for the general elections to be held on February 8.
The initial list of tickets from Takht Lahore has been prepared by the PML-N for the general elections and the majority of the party leaders have decided not to adjust the seat from any other political party to the opponent.
Party leader Nawaz Sharif will contest from National Assembly Constituency NA-130 while Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz will contest from NA-120.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq from NA 117, Hamza Shehbaz from NA 118, and Ali Pervaiz Malik from NA 119 will be candidates.
Sheikh Rohail Asghar will contest from NA-121 while Saadrafique from NA-122 and Shahbaz Sharif from NA-123 will be party candidates.
