Motorcycle lovers in Pakistan are hitting the brakes as Yamaha throws a curveball, raising prices across its entire range by a whopping Rs 14,000. This sudden surge has left both buyers and sellers feeling like they've hit a pothole in the road.
The Yahama’s YBZ DX model now stands at Rs 454,000, while the YBR is marked at Rs 466,0000. Additionally, the YBRG Black has been elevated to Rs 485,000, and the YBRG Matte now stands at Rs 488,000 after a Rs 14,000 increase.
Simultaneously, Suzuki and Yamaha motorcycles have observed a decline in sales. This decline is attributed to a significant 40% increase in the prices of older bike models, causing concern among both buyers and sellers in the market.
Traders are noting a substantial shift in pricing compared to last year. Previously, a motorcycle cost around Rs 70 to 75,000, but the current range has surged to Rs 90,000 to Rs 100,000.
The escalated motorcycle prices have paralyzed business activities, causing a stagnation in sales due to the affordability challenge faced by potential buyers in the market.
