In a groundbreaking moment for the district of Buner, Dr. Sawera Prakash, a distinguished member of the Minority community, is set to create history as the first woman to contest elections for the provincial assembly from constituency PK-25 on a general seat.

Dr. Sawera Prakash, having also submitted nomination papers for both reserved seats of the National and Provincial assemblies, is affiliated with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), a political association she has been associated with for an impressive 35 years.
The PPP, recognising her potential, urged her father, Dr. Om Prakash, an active political and social worker, to bring his daughter into the political arena.
Dr Om Prakash, renowned for his dedication to the welfare of humanity, has played a pivotal role in serving both public and private sector health centers.

A 2022 graduate from Abbottabad International Medical College with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Dr. Sawera Prakash is not only a trailblazer in politics but also an aspirant for Competitive Exams, particularly the Central Superior Services.
Dr Sawera Prakash is vocal about prioritising the socio-economic upliftment of women, asserting that it will contribute significantly to national growth. She believes that increased female participation in politics is pivotal for reshaping the socio-economic dynamics of the country.
