Former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop and renowned sports presenter Zainab Abbas praised Aamer Jamal on Friday for having a dream Test debut against Australia at the Perth Cricket Stadium.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 56-year-old commentator said, “That’s a Test debut that Aamer Jamal won’t forget.”

Zainab was impressed with the bowling brilliance of Jamal. “Aamer Jamal had been impressive, getting the ball to shape away and creating some chances,” she said.

However, Zainab bemoaned the lack of pace executed by the Pakistan bowlers overall. She also expressed her concerns about the team’s loopholes in the fielding department.
"The genuine lack of pace in the lineup (apart from the questionable fielding) has hurt Pakistan and will require a massive batting effort to keep themselves in the game now,” she maintained.
