After a three-year hiatus from box office success, Ayushmann Khurrana has made a triumphant comeback with "Dream Girl 2," following his previous hit "Bala."
2020 was a relatively stable year for Khurrana, with "Shubh Mangal Zayad Saavdhan" performing reasonably well, and "Gulabo Sitabo" becoming the first Bollywood film to release directly on an OTT platform.
However, the years 2021 and 2022 proved challenging for the actor, with "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui," "Anek," "Doctor G," and "An Action Hero" all underperforming or becoming outright disasters. "Dream Girl 2" emerged as Khurrana's opportunity to reestablish his box office clout.

Remarkably, the film entered the prestigious 100 Crore Club, even amid fierce competition from "Gadar 2" and the looming threat of "Jawan."
Khurrana's film took the bold step of releasing in the midst of this intense competition and successfully crossed the 100 crore mark.
With this achievement, Ayushmann Khurrana now boasts four films that have crossed the century mark. Here's a look at the lifetime totals of these 100 Crore Club successes:
- "Dream Girl" – 1.43 billion
- "Badhaai Ho" – 1.38 billion
- "Bala" – 1.17 billion
- "Dream Girl 2" – 1000 million (Still playing)
While "Dream Girl 2" takes the top spot, it settles at fourth place in terms of total earnings, as it is expected to fall short of "Bala."
Ayushmann Khurrana's next move remains a mystery, as no new projects have been officially announced.
His career has seen him experiment with various roles, but his successes have predominantly come from comedy genres.
