A terrorist attack targeted security forces in the Dera Ismael Khan (DI Khan), resulting in the tragic sacrifice of 23 young men in the line of duty.

At least 25 army personnel were martyred and several others injured in two separate terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan in the wee hours of Tuesday.
At around 3 am on Tuesday, six terrorists attacked a police station in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, however, their attempt to enter the premises was foiled. The terrorists then rammed a vehicle full of explosives into the main gate of the police station. They also exploded their suicide vests, reported the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
As a result of the explosions, the police station building collapsed, and 23 soldiers were martyred. All six terrorists were also gunned down, the ISPR said.
The DI Khan administration imposed an emergency in the city's hospitals as casualties were feared to increase.
