Faryal Makhdoom, wife of Pakistani boxer Amir Khan, sparked controversy once again following her attire at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The event, which saw attendance from celebrities worldwide, occurred shortly after Makhdoom's Umrah pilgrimage.
Makhdoom donned a silver silk gown with a leg slit and a hood-like head covering made from the same fabric.
This choice of dress, coming so soon after her religious journey, attracted criticism from some online users.
The criticism intensified after Makhdoom posted pictures and a video from the film festival on social media, just a day after sharing her Umrah experience. Comments flooded her posts, expressing disapproval of her outfit.

Responding to the criticism, Makhdoom urged people to stop holding expectations of her.
In a lengthy comment, she clarified that her Umrah visit was unplanned, undertaken during a trip to attend the film festival. While her dress was chosen beforehand, her visit to Mecca, located just an hour away, was spontaneous.
