Indian actor Junior Mehmood has passed away at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer.
The actor, known for his roles in classic films such as Kati Patang, Mera Naam Joker, Parvarish, and Do Aur Do Paanch, breathed his last at his Mumbai residence.
Born Naeem Sayyed, Junior Mehmood had a distinguished career spanning over five decades, with contributions to more than 250 films.
His journey began as a child actor in the 1967 film 'Naunihal,' and he subsequently became a well-known figure both in front of the camera and as a producer in Marathi cinema.
Fellow actor Johnny Lever facilitated a meeting between Junior Mehmood and actors Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar, fulfilling the late actor's desire.
The trio had collaborated on various projects, including 'Bachpan,' 'Geet Gaata Chal,' and 'Brahmachari.'
Junior Mehmood's contributions extended beyond the silver screen, with engagements in stage shows in India and abroad showcasing his versatile talent.
