Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan rallied on Thursday behind former captain Babar Azam.
Speaking on a private television channel, Khan said: "It is unfair to merely hold the skipper accountable for the World Cup debacle. Our team had the capability to power to the World Cup final. But unfortunately, we could not deliver in all the departments of the game in the tournament."
The Islamabad United cricketer admitted that he could not deliver for the team with the bowl in the World Cup.
"I am looking forward to playing as much first-class cricket as I can in a bid to improve my performance in the ODIs," he added.
Speaking about the possibility of playing in the National T20 Cup semi-final, Khan said, "I will try my level best to ensure my availability for my team during the semi-final of the National T20 Cup."

He talked about fast bowler Naseem Shah's inclusion in Islamabad United for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
"Every team was looking forward to gaining the services of Naseem Shah. The United management tried its level best to secure the deal with Naseem Shah. Naseem Shah has been my favourite bowler from the beginning," Khan maintained.
