As part of a special campaign against drugs that is ongoing throughout the country, Peshawar police continued the crackdown and busted an ice factory being operational inside the house.
Peshawar—literally means city of flowers–is also facing a wave of intense drug usage among youth and people of all ages, and to counter the menace of drugs, Peshawar Police sealed the ‘ice drugs factory’ and recovered ice worth millions of rupees.
On the instructions of the caretaker Prime Minister, a special crackdown by the police against drugs in Peshawar has been launched.
Police raided the ice factory inside the house in Bhana Mari and recovered over 58 kg of ice.
Peshawar SP City Abdul Salam Khalid said that police also arrested two suspects of the drug gang during the raid—used to supply ice to foreign countries including Pakistan.
The police registered a case against the accused and formed special teams to arrest other members of the gang.
