National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said on Tuesday that there is a dire need to hold transparent polls to change the destiny of the country.
Speaking to media in Pattoki, Ashraf said: "It seems as if the general elections will be held in the country. The PPP is the most popular party and is having a narrative of Vote say izzat lo. Other party [PML-N] is having a narrative of Vote Ko Izzat Do."

"Former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari willl be become the country's premier by clinching majority in the general elections," Ashraf said.
– PPP asks ECP to take notice of PTI intra-party elections –
The PPP asked on Saturday the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) intra-party elections.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said: "Once again, there has been selection in the PTI. The PTI has been supported by an old PPP leader, Barrister Gohar Ali, who contested the 2018 elections on the ticket of the PPP."

"The PPP has full confidence in the electoral watchdog. Nobody can even imagine the delay in the elections during the presence of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa," the PPP leader said.
Kundi took a swipe at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P). "The MQM-P is finding excuses to escape the general elections," he said.
